LaRae Alcidor

I'm an Instructional Designer, and basically, my job is to achieve business outcomes thorough awesome and effective learning. I I use project management practices to initiate, plan and execute my work. My big aim is to create learning experiences that are super flexible.

I love building out online courses. I want learners to feel empowered to jump in and contribute, and for instructors to feel confident fostering inclusive learning environments where all sorts of minds can thrive. Plus, I'm pretty hands-on with e-learning development and can whip up some great video and audio edits to make sure the content really shines.

The mission

When I design learning experiences, I prioritize business outcomes from the start. My approach uses a systems-based methodology to ensure every project begins with a clear, consistent process. This guarantees measurable results that directly align instructional goals with the organization's overarching strategic objectives.

The vision

My design actively fosters a desire for life-long learning. I integrate authentic, real-world experiences to engage participants, leveraging principles of human behavior and sensory engagement. This approach enhances knowledge retention and improves skill application, providing a demonstrable long-term benefit to the organization.

Life on the move.

Jacksonville’s abundant natural spaces, from its sprawling beaches to the winding St. Johns River and numerous parks, consistently keep me feeling awake, aware, and active. This strong connection to nature in my daily life truly grounds me, allowing me to feel deeply connected to my passion for wellness and learning authentically.
